Heart of Ruth Mission is a hands-on, loving organization providing education sponsorships to students who grew up at Rainbow House Children's Home in Kenya. Breaking the chain of poverty by providing College and University education opportunities to students in Kenya.

Background

Since being founded in 2012, Heart of Ruth Mission has grown an incredible amount. Rainbow House Children’s Home was a home to 38 incredible children. Resilient, kind, hopeful kids who were very much struggling. Heart of Ruth saw a need and came together to see what we could do. In 2013 we registered our first 8 children for private school.

Now in 2025 we have 11 students sponsored for education. It is with your support that we are able to continue these students education beyond Secondary School.

Over the past decade we have sponsored the majority of the 38 students who lived at Rainbow House. Our Education Program was large! Sponsored students began to graduate Secondary School and most earned spots in College/University programs. The global pandemic began and we lost a lot of sponsors therefore we had to narrow down our sponsorships for Post-Secondary Education. Despite the hardships we have enrolled 11 students in University/College and some are set to graduate in 2026!

Because of generous, selfless individuals like YOU- we have provided sponsorships for students completing degrees/diplomas in Occupational Therapy, Teaching x3, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Social Work and Catering. We are so proud of these students for their continued hard work.

The Education sponsorship program.

Education is the best gift a child can be given and it is the only thing that will break the chain of poverty. Education provides an opportunity to create a ripple effect of change within their communities. Sponsorship includes tuition fees, exam fees, uniforms, school shoes, backpacks, textbooks, notebooks, pencils, pens, school badges and school socks. This is a project that will continue yearly.
