George has lived and worked in many parts of Africa developing supply
chain programs and also developing asset based microfinance programs.
George has also started a program to assist orphans and their educational
requirements and to provide them with an opportunity to develop assset
accumulation and management in Zambia.
George has worked in shelter and infrastructure programs for Tsunami
victims in SriLanka as well as IT infrasturcture solutions in Kenya, Somalia,
Philippines, Thailand and Singapore.
George's goal is to develop sustainable income generation programs that
involve microfinance in rural communities working closely with established
rural churches. In addition he is interested in developing technical training
opportunities (Life Skills) for young people in the same rural communities to
compliment the microfinance program.
More specifically George is currently putting together a proposal for
setting up a mill to assist the community to husk rice in the Western province
in a town called Mongu (close to the Congo border).
At the moment Devxchange is accepting donations to cover the volunteer
costs of George. Once a detailed project proposal has been submitted and
approved, donations will also be accepted for the projects he is involved
with.
